descripção |
It is very important for every composer what tradition he continues. The issue of the Georgian composition school was very unacceptable for me at any stage of my studies, since I felt that the music that was my immediate past was not an organic expression of my country. The creation of Georgian hymns began in the Middle Ages, which clearly shows the handwriting of professional composers. It has many parallels with the strict style of the European Middle Ages polyphony, which developed continuously and this line flows logically in the European professional music to this day, and in the Georgian professional music there is a break of several centuries, which was caused by a difficult political existence and numerous wars of conquest. In order to discover the past of the composing art of my country, I studied the musical parameters of the hymns and determined all their patterns. The article presented to you is the first part of the study. The next part is in the process of completion, which I will also present to the public. |
