“Andromeda’s Adventure”
(Libretto)

1. Kephei’s kingdom. Dawn is coming. In front of the palace, on the seashore, Kephei’s daughter Andromeda leaves to welcome the sunrise. She admires the flowers. She is glad to see the daylight. Nimphs get out of the sea. Relation between them and Andromeda is friendly and kind.
2. Sunbeams qre darkened by something. It’s Persevsii – sun of Zevs, who goes to kill Gorgona Meduza, to accomplish heroism.
3. Persevsii gets sight of Andromeda. He is carried away by her beauty. He falls in love with her first sight. Persevsii has to leave Andromeda and goes to kill Gorgona Medusa, to accomplish his future stepfather’s instruction – Persevsii flies away.
4. Andromeda is alone. Nymphs are with her and try to comfort her.
5. At that time Kasiopea, Andromeda’s mother appears, the queen of Kephei, who loves only herself and anything around her. She thinks herself the most beautiful. Kasiopea can’t see that her daughter is in bad mood, who dreams of Persevsii’s returning. Here the conflict arises between them. At last Kasiopea drives away the nymphs from the shore.
6. Nymphs told everything to the sea king Poseidon. Poseidon send the punishment to the Kepheas kingdom. The punishment is that the kingdom must sacrifice young people to the sea. People are in horror. Because of Kaciopea’s proudness and heartlessness people have been unjustly punished.
